Louvre
How can I get tickets to the Louvre?
I have done some research and have discovered that there is always huge queues to get into the Louvre. I am going to Paris on this coming Sunday, and I need to book tickets to the Louvre before I get there. However, after visiting websites to book the tickets, I have noticed that they are going to be sent by post. I fear that the tickets won’t be able to get here before I leave!
How can I get tickets before I go next week?
Are you just there on Sunday?
If you were there earlier, you could buy your ticket in advance in any branch of the FNAC department store (fnac.com) or Virgin Megastore (www.virgin megastore.fr)
Tickets are not by timed entry so be first through the doors at 9am to avoid queues.
The alternative is a Paris museum pass that gives you priority of entry, but if it is just for one day it is not worth the expense and all I can suggest is get there very early and be one of the first in the queue before the ticket counters open.
